Compared to the African Lion's 390 pounds, this American Lion
was a monster at 520 pounds. This massive cat lived on four different
continents and is believed to have been the widest ranging land
mammal of all time. The 18-1/2" long, 11-1/2" wide
and 12-1/2" high skull exhibits 3" canines and is an
exact replica. It comes in a rich tar pit finish complete with
solid oak display base and engraved brass plaque. The original
skull is part of the collection at the natural History Museum
of Los Angeles County. |
