Made in the United States, these pedestals are almost one square foot on top. The cornersare so tight that you will swear that it is made from one solid block of material. The size has increased from 10-1/2" square to 11-1/2" square. The lighting system has been improved with more light. If you wish to display glass or crystal art, we include a matte black vinyl sheet that is pressure sensitive on one side. You can cut out this mask to allow light only through the bottom of your art work. The Illuminated pedestals each have a black rocker switch on the back side. See photo to the right. These pedestals are made of 1/2" thick material., not 3/8." They have rubber feet, not felt pads. They are 11-1/2 inches square for the footprint, not 10-1/2." Yes, the prices are somewhat higher than we previously had available for the pedestals made in Mexico. But, they are superior in quality. If you want good value for your money, this is it!

Note: We stock both the plain and illuminated pedestals in Matte Black only. The above four wood-grain finishes are available for an additional twenty dollars per pedestal on a custom order basis. Please allow two weeks for production if you want to order these finishes instead of standard Matte Black. We believe that the purpose of most art pedestals is to become invisible in the mind of the viewer, as the focus is on the artwork upon the pedestal. However some situations require the finish to coordinate with other fixtures in the exhibit. The photo at the right shows the light source. A spiral flourescent bulb in a conventional socket and electrical box. The 12' heavy duty cord has a rocker switch approximately two feet from the plug A Turntable Top is available. This is a heavy duty turntable made of aluminum with ball bearings. It has a 10-3/8" diameter opening that allows light through the top. It comes with a 13" Diameter x 3/16" thick translucent disk and rubber feet. The turntable is not attached to the pedestal, it simply sits on top of the standard illuminated pedestal.
